Did you know that approximately 1.5 million barrels of oil - enough to run 100,000 cars for a whole year - are used to make plastic water bottles? Transporting these bottles burns even more oil. Yes, we use a plastic water bottle if necessary but we try to avoid it. BPA or Bisphenol A, a chemical found in plastic has been linked to an increased risk of cancer, obesity, early onset puberty and diabetes. Can you believe tap water is held to tougher standards than bottled water? That's why we love cool water bottles and we try to fill them up everyday before we leave the house.

About the DesignerWe fell in love with Bkr (pronounced Beaker) because it's glass (which is hard to find in water bottles) and it's great looking! It's wrapped in a silicone sleeve that can be removed. It has a good size mouth for "smoother sips." The cap untwists in fewer than two turns and the handle is angled making it very easy to carry. Loved by many celebrities including Natalie Portman, Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Saldana, to name (drop) a few. Best of all it comes in 6 ultra cool and fun colors! They've also partnered with the Obakki Foundation to build wells in Sudan. Upgrade your water bottle today!
How to take care of your Bkr bottle: Clean your bkr with hot soapy water or on the top rack of your
dishwasher. The sleeve does not need to be removed, but if you want to
do spring cleaning it's easy - see the bottle page for a cheat sheet on
how. We recommend storing with the cap off. Avoid freezing, using in the
microwave, or exposing to sudden temperature changes.
