Bob's Your Uncle
Bob's Your
Uncle is a terrific Boston-based line of paper goods, melamine plates and dish
towels. It was started by Martin and
Michele Yeeles in 2001. They are
originally from England but moved to the United States in 1993 thinking they'd
only stay for a year or two. Martin is a
graphic designer and Michele is a former shoe designer. And let us assure you, Martin and Michele in
addition to their Director of Operations, Courtney, are some of the nicest
people in the industry! "Bob's your
uncle" is a British expression that refers to a task being very simple. It is thought that it was inspired by
Victorian Prime Minister, Robert Cecil, who appointed his nephew to a
ministerial post. They think the phrase
was coined then meaning that having "Bob" as your uncle guarantees
success!
