Shira Entis (a fashion designer) and Alex Bell (a lawyer) have been flea market addicts and friends since they met at Brown University 10 years ago. Frustrated by all the plastic bags they had to carry during one of their shopping trips, they discussed the need for a great market tote that was lightweight, durable, eco-minded, chic, dapper and large enough to hold all their finds. They created Flea Bags (while still at their day jobs) in 2009. We absolutely fell in love with these gorgeous bags. These are not your typical canvas bag. You'll hear angels singing, when you open the box and pick up this bag. We did! Really. All the fabrics and parts used to make a flea bag are sourced in the USA and the bags are constructed in New York of organic and vintage materials with vegetable tanned American and Italian leathers. No toxic paints or glues were used in creating these beauties; they are lovingly sewn together. The first run of 100 bags were made in 2009 and each bag is numbered. These bags are perfect for everyday commuting, shopping, travel or for
the beach. They are classic in style and will always look right on
trend.
