John Derian's Ponderosa Lemon tray has just reads fresh to us. It is a clean, bright image and perfect for spring and summer entertaining. It will adorn any kitchen wall or shelf just beautifully and makes a wonderful Mother's Day gift. The Ponderosa lemon began as a "chance seedling" in 1886 and it's thought to be a hybrid of the traditional lemons you buy at the grocery store and another fruit called citron as it has a more bumpy surface. It is known as the "5 pound lemon" or the "wonder lemon" as the lemons average between 2-4 lbs. It's been seen in home plantings since 1900.
