We are very excited to be offering a gorgeous handbag line designed by Lauren Merkin for Spring 2010. These bags are classic, but fun. According to Lauren, the aim is to "have a product that will be trendy and current, but will endure the seasons."

The Lauren Merkin brand came to life in the summer of 2002 after graduating from Columbia University, but her interest in design began at a young age. At the age of 11, Lauren had enjoyed making things on her sewing machine, although not until after she received her MBA is when Lauren decided to reconnect with her creative roots. By combining her creative and entrepreneurial nature, the Lauren Merkin Handbag line was born. Almost eight years later, her company continues to grow and can be found in more than 300 boutiques globally. Celebrity followers include Brooke Shields, Teri Hatcher, Carrie Underwood, and Diane Lane to name a few.
