Founder and designer of Matta, Cristina Gitti has always been inspired by the numerous possibilities of handmade design. Her textile and clothing ventures have been inspired by her travels and where she discovered beautifully handmade luxuries. Matta collections combine age-old techniques with modern technology and express a sense of history in the vibrant color palette and through the varied textures of her apparel and accessories. 

Matta's trademark "dupatta" has shrunk to a medium size! It still has has tassels on all four sides and measures approximately 20" x 70". It must be hand-washed in cold water or dry cleaned. Made from a blend of cotton and silk.

This scarf is light enough to wear year-round. It looks great over a tee shirt or tank top with jeans or a long sweater. Chic and luxurious. Once you put it on, you'll never take it off!

The printed dupatta in bark (a light mauve) adds just the right amount of interest to any outfit. The print is an easy graphic print that is perfectly subtle.

Please note, Matta scarves are hand woven, hand printed or dyed and slight imperfections may appear. This is what makes them beautiful- they are not mass produced- you'll love them!
