The workshop of R.A. Butler, Silversmith specializes in fine sterling
silver for the home. Using traditional methods, Mr. Butler is known for
intricate and original hand-made designs that look to nature for
inspiration. R.A. Butler has been smithing for over 25 years. He was trained in
London’s Clerkenwell district, the historic home of English
silversmithing. He specializes in repoussé, the art of pushing metal in
order to create dimension; the ancient art of hand-raising, that of
taking a flat sheet of silver and, using only hammer and fire, shaping
it into a hollow vessel; and wax modeling, being able to shape three
dimensional forms from a solid block of material. His clients
exclusively have been private collectors.
This baby bell spoon is one of his more "attainable" pieces. It's a lovely stainless steel spoon with a mirror polish. At the handle is a delicate bell that has sweet and pleasing tone. It can certainly be used for feeding but will probably be more enjoyed as a bell rattle and teether. It makes a wonderful (and well-priced) gift for even your most stylish and modern new mom. It ships in a ultra cool tubular gift box with a sketch of the spoon on the outside.
Have this beautiful piece engraved to create a lasting heirloom
(additional $15). We suggest a 1 name personalization, initials or a 3 letter
monogram (6 characters max). Engraving will be done on the back of the spoon. Please allow 5 days for engraving.
**Please indicate in the comments section where you would like your engraving to be positioned on the piece. We suggest a small monogram on the top of the handle or a name and date on the back of the handle.**- Made in Germany
