The urchin-like raised dots and subtle glaze on Roost's Haiku bowls and platters are evocative of Scandinavian Modernism, a period epitomized by craftsmanship, quality and a relationship to nature. Each stoneware piece is fired once and then fired again after a reactive glaze is applied. We offer a set of 2 concave platters and a set of 2 bowls. They can be used for pasta, salads, dips, olives or nuts (or whatever your heart desires). The smaller bowls are also great for adding interest to a side table, console (for keys and mail) or the center of a table. The whole set makes a wonderful wedding present. The shallow bowls feature a small spout for pouring. dimensions for small bowls: 5 1/2" diameter x 1 3/4" h and 8" diameter x 1 3/4' high dishwasher and food safe
