Scrimshaw was an art practiced by sailors on whaling ships out at sea. It usually consisted of elaborate whaling scenes incised into the teeth of whales. The scrimshaw melamine collection looks to recapture the feeling of this art form, luckily no whales were harmed this time!

We were thrilled when we saw Thomas Paul's new scrimshaw melamine collection. His sealife plates are still one of our all time best sellers but this collection is a wonderfully sophisticated update!
